Inclement Weather / Cancellations protocol
The Department is always cognizant of keeping the health and safety of the student-athletes paramount in its decision making in regards to last minute cancelations. We do our best to make a call as early as we can knowing that many parents are having to leave work early to get their child to events. Both student-athletes and parents are asked to sign up for e-mail / text alerts from www.goEWAeagles.org. Notifications from the web site are instantaneous and the Department will do its best to send cancelation alerts in as timely a manner as possible. Neither the Department nor coaches will be able to call or e-mail parents so it is imperative that families get properly signed up for alerts.
If you have further questions or concerns on a game day you should contact the head coach first. If you are unable to reach the coach you should then try to reach the athletic director. If you have questions on signing up for alerts you should again talk to the head coach after practice for guidance (please make sure you "favorite" the team(s) your child(ren) are playing on. Otherwise, you will not get the alerts.
