National Signing Day- Women's Soccer

The East Wake Academy Athletic Department is proud to announce that seniors Allison and Grace Page have signed their intent letters to play collegiate soccer at Methodist University in the Fall of 2018.  Allison and Grace, aka Allie and Gracie, are twin sisters and have had a passion for the game since they were very young.  Their EWA career began in 6th grade, playing through the middle school soccer program, where they saw more success each year being a part of it.  Each year in their high school careers, the women’s soccer program has continued to grow.  The team had its best performance last year, finishing the season 14-8-1 before bowing out of the NCHSAA 1-A playoffs in the 3rd round.  The lady Eagles are poised to have a deep run this season, with the Page sisters being a vital part of that.  Allison is a 3-year varsity starter in goal, was named NCAC All-Conference and NCSCA All-Region (1-A Region 6) in 2016, and plans to see the field this season instead of goal to prepare for her tenure at Methodist.  Grace is a 3-year varsity starter at right back for the Lady Eagles, was named NCAC All-Conference and NCSCA All-Region (1-A Region 6) in 2017, as well as given the Coaches Award for her team in 2017, and will be a vital part of the back line this year again for the team.  Both Allison and Grace have been a part of their club team, the NCFC ’99 Classic Team for two years, along with previously playing on other clubs.  Allison plans on majoring in Athletic Training and Grace plans on majoring in Veterinarian Medicine in the Fall at Methodist.
